Effective communication

This workshop was intended as an ‘eye-opener’, about the nature of effective business communication, for senior managers working in heavy-engineering, chemical and energy-related industries. The overall tone was to be playful and confrontational, at the same time.

Our approach was highly practical, involved physical movement, work in small groups, personal reflection and a dialogue between the consultant involved and the whole group (of around 45 people). Theoretical models (apart from one dealing with establishing rapport) played no part.

The aim was to raise awareness about the complex nature of business communication, and the many issues which can affect its success, or failure.
